Ahmet ÇUHADAROĞLU
Ahmet Çuhadaroğlu was born in 1925 in Zara, Sivas. In 1937, after completing his primary school education in Sivas, he came to Istanbul. He was in charge as the Chairman of the Board of Directors of Çuhadaroğlu Holding for many years.
Ahmet Çuhadaroğlu, who completed his secondary education in İstanbul Erkek Lisesi, completed his studies at Mimar Sinan University Faculty of Architecture. Çuhadaroğlu started his business life with an architectural office opened in Istanbul. After completing his military service, he started to produce aluminum profiles and was the first person that was producing aluminum systems for construction business in Turkey. Ahmet Çuhadaroğlu donated a primary school in Şişli Hürriyet District in Istanbul to the Ministry of National Education in 1987 and donated the Ahmet Çuhadaroğlu Vocational College affiliated to Cumhuriyet University in Zara, Sivas in 1996.
Ahmet Çuhadaroğlu, who was married with Sevim Çuhadaroğlu and has two children, also served as the Chairman of the Istanbul Chamber of Commerce Board of Directors and Assembly Member; as well as Chairman of the Occupation Committee. Çuhadaroğlu was a member of Istanbul Chamber of Commerce and President of Istanbul Alüminyumcular Kooperatifi (Istanbul Aluminium Producers Cooperative), member of TUSİAD, Levent Rotary and many other associations and clubs. Ahmet Çuhadaroğlu was also the founder of the Çuhadaroğlu Education and Research Foundation and Chairman of the Board of Trustees, which supplies scholarships for successful students for their educational life.
Ahmet Çuhadaroğlu passed away on 29 August 2013 due to a sudden heart attack and buried in Zincirlikuyu Cemetery in Istanbul.
